Welcome to the new official website of Kilrea Pipe Band which replaces www.freewebs.com/kilreapipeband. Also check out the Band on Facebook for up-to-date information, practice arrangements and discussions.

Kilrea is a town in Co. Londonderry in N. Ireland situated close to the River Bann. It is about fifteen miles from the Coleraine, thirteen from Ballymena and ten from Ballymoney.

Kilrea Pipe Band made its first public appearance in July 1923 and has since that time taken part in a wide range of activities. It currently wears the Muted Cameron of Erracht tartan. Please have a look at the photograph galleries.

The Band currently competes in Grade 4B and is always keen to welcome new members, either learners or experienced players, to its practices each Wednesday from 8.00-10,00pm in Kilrea Orange Hall. Please email info@kilreapipeband.com for further information and/or refer to the Piping and Drumming Tuition page on this website.

THE BAND WOULD CURRENTLY LIKE TO HEAR FROM ANY EXPERIENCED PIPERS WHO WOULD LIKE TO JOIN THE EXISTING CORPS AND ANYONE INTERESTED IN LEARNING TO PLAY THE BASS DRUM OR ALREADY EXPERIENCED.

If you wish to contact the Band to find out about becoming a member, sponsoring it or hiring it for a concert or other such occasion, please contact the Band using the email address info@kilreapipeband.com.

It would also be great to receive any copies of photographs of the band from any time period or to hear from any former members.

For where the Band can next be seen, check out the Events Diary.
